Quiet and effective at removing pollutants

Posted by Kevin Harris on Oct 10th 2024

The Blueair 411i Max Air Purifier is made for small rooms up to 219 square feet. According to the company, on maximum setting, it can clean the air in a 219 square foot room in about 12.5 minutes. Blueair also claims that it is one of the quietest air purifiers on the market and it filters out 99.97% of airborne pollutants, including pollen, dust, pet dander, and smoke. I learned that for smoke filtering, a specific kind of filter is needed. I placed the air purifier in my bedroom which is close to 219 square feet. It has a simple, unobtrusive and modern design that makes it easy to place anywhere in a room, and it is light and can be moved easily and it is also not difficult to use. The washable gray cloth covering my purifier can be replaced with other colors making it great to suit your environment. The control panel on the top has the basic options such as the power button, fan speed, mode buttons, filter and wifi indicators. It is easier to use with the Blueair app though. Setting up the app is not complicated but I wish the user interface was a bit more intuitive; a bit clunky at times. All the controls are available in the app and the basic ones are easy to use. In addition, you can set schedules which is very convenient. Another advantage of the app is to set your location and from there, you can see the local outside air quality and how it varies over time. And, speaking of air quality, the 411i Max has a built-in air quality sensor that will automatically adjust the fan speed based on the level of pollutants in the air. The sensor has an LED indicator that changes color from a variety of hues between blue and red depending on the quality of the interior air. This purifier is also compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. I primarily use Google Assistant and adding it to my devices in the Google Home app was a breeze. The commands are limited to on or off but they come in handy sometimes. My favorite setting is auto and it adjusts automatically throughout the day. I noticed that it stays on at low speed most of the day and it is very quiet. The noise is more noticeable on high speed but still quiet in my opinion. The app indicates the life of the filter and it seems that it will be long lasting. As for its effectiveness, I can say that there was an apparent improvement in my wife’s allergies since I’ve been using the purifier. She feels that the allergens have gone down since using it. If you’re looking for a quiet, easy to use air purifier that’s effective at removing pollutants, the Blueair 411i Max is a great choice plus it looks great and easily blends in most environments.

    Best air purifier

Posted by Brian Carrillo on Oct 8th 2024

So far working great. We had this 1 day and the air felt cleaner and smelt fresh. The fan pushes out the fresh air and keeps fresh air circulating. The next day we went back during the sale and purchased a smaller for our bedroom

    Fantastic

These look great--I've had friends ask if they are speakers!--and as far as I can tell function great too. They're super quiet in auto mode and only get loud when they need to go to work, which luckily hasn't been often, usually when cooking or making popcorn. (Who knew how bad popcorn is for air quality?) I've had them 8 months and still have some good filter life left. App is easy to use and set up. Being able to dim the monitor light is a plus too.

Silent, well-made, does good job cleaning the air!

Very happy with my purchase. I use it in the bedroom. It's completely silent and keeps the air cool and clean. The clean air indicator is always on blue which means it's doing a good job! Haven't had to dust in the bedroom since I got it. I still do of course, but it's nice to know that I'm not breathing in dust any longer. It's well-made and has a large filter. Easy to move, easy to use, nice appearance.

Smart starter air purifier ... Smarter addition

The Blueair - Blue Pure 411i Max is a great choice for someone wanting to start off with an affordable, small room air cleaner. Being an existing Blueair customer, adding one or more of these to one's home is even a cooler option, as multiple units can be scheduled & monitored from one information packed mobile app. That's what I do. The Blueair - Blue Pure 411i Max is rated between 18 and 46 dBa which is probably pretty meaningless to most folks. What I can tell you from personal experience is that the unit is pretty darned quiet no matter if you have it on Auto or manual speed settings. The sound it does produce at higher speeds is very smooth & pleasant sounding White Noise. At the lower speeds it is - for all intents & purposes - silent in operation. So this unit should not bother most people while sleeping. I have mine in my spare room/Office and it has made a huge difference during this current Spring allergy season. It also is very beneficial in keeping the air fresh in the same space with the addition of an active little dog hanging around. The touch controls on the top of the unit are simple and straightforward. The LED indication in that panel and from the front facing status indicator are clear yet soft in illumination. I really find the machine washable exterior filter ingenious and convenient to maintain a good working & good looking gizmo. I also like the fact that you can buy additional ones to have around so your machine can keep running while you tend to another cover filter in the laundry. Those covers come in several different colors - so that's a nice bonus too. Flare is fun. All-in-all, I am strong believe in the range of Blueair products. We use a much larger and more sophisticated "Protect" model in our home and these "Pure" nodes offer a nice solution to expanding the boundaries of your clean home environment to bedrooms, offices and even the kitchen - while costing little to nothing to operate daily. Pros: Compact Easy to maintain Super quiet operation Very energy efficient Filters are relatively inexpensive and easy to change The exterior filter fabric is machine washable and can be replaced at will, including the ability to color coordinate with room décor and/or mood The Blueair mobile app is cool, easy to navigate and from what I've observed over a several years, pretty much bug-free. The app will alert you to the status of your filter performance too. Cons: None

So much better than I expected! Wow

I’ve had a few units before as I suffer from allergies and although I’ve liked them and enjoyed the benefit there are some things I disliked. The look, the size sometimes would be too big and cleaning or keeping them clean. Also the app and connection has been a struggle with some ones that I’ve used/owned (not Blue air but won’t mention or criticize the manufacturers). I love the blue air! Here is why; Size: moved in an apartment that is around 800sf and wants something for the bedroom and closet area which is also where our cats do their business… The 411i (different from the 411a because of Wi-Fi connection from my understanding) is PERFECT. It works so well… I’m sitting near it now while writing this because my wife was using hair spray and it is bright red (led display) and working hard at cleaning the air! Size is perfect complements the room instead of looking like a boulder in it. App: love it. I set it on auto and can see the health of the filter and also how it’s working through out the day. Easy to use and a breeze to set up! Cleaning: everything is so easy to clean from taking the fabric out and putting it the wash or just vacuuming it when you think it’s needed they made it very easy and very simple. Honestly my sleep is better, my allergies are so much less of an issue and my wife says that it made the room have a fresh “fancy hotel” scent. This is fantastic and really do recommend.
