4 Great Air Purifier/Heater
Posted by Lindsey Phillips on Oct 16th 2024
The Blueair Air Purifier 4132411000 came very well packaged, this has become important to me now a days. It was quite easy setting up the 3-in-1 Blueair Purifier. Downloading the app was quick and easy and connecting to our internet was simple. It does help to set up the unit close to your router and then place the unit in its new home. Lots of nice features that make the unit versatile. Having the heat feature adds a nice touch to an air purifier. Many of the features have auto operations that allow you to set the unit, monitor it occasionally, adjust if required, and let it do its work. The controls consist of, On/Standby, Cooling mode, Boosted purification mode, Heating mode, Brightness control, Timer, Oscillation, Wi-Fi indicator, Filter replacement, Display lock indicator, Toggles (for making adjustment with certain features), Display indicators, Number display, and manual fan adjustments. Key features of some of the controls is the ability to set perimeters for you need the unit to achieve. In all modes the brightness of the display, located on the top of the unit, can be adjusted to meet your needs. You can also press the “Night Mode” button, and the unit will slow to the lowest speed and dim with only the essential button displays slightly lit. One issue we noted when I the heating mode; setting the heat was strange, it would go up in 2-digit increments except for 70 through 75. Adjustments went from 70 to 72 to 73 to 75, no 71 or 74. Also, the unit’s fan would accelerate and then de-accelerate whether oscillation was activated or not. It was a little bothersome while attempting to sleep. It would also make a clicking sound occasionally during this time. I will discuss this with Blueair to see if this is a normal operational occurrence. When operating in heat mode the fan would slow when the room temperature reached our setting, and the unit would blow cool air for a short period of time. I am assuming this is to cool the unit prior to shutting down. This unit will start back up if the room temperature drops below our temperature setting. This kept our room at -+2 degrees. The Blueair T10i 3-in-1 air purifier has a lot of amenities. All the modes for operation are very neat and give us a lot of versatility along with the filter which will be easy to change out. The design of this unit was well thought out and the unit appears to be very well made/solid.

5 The new gold standard in air purification
Posted by Matthew Elliott on Oct 6th 2024
The Blueair 3-in-1 is simply the best device in its class I have ever used. Having owned several air purifiers over the years, I have extensive experience with several top name brands. Some are very large, some are very small. Some cover more square footage than others. Some provide easy access to replacement filters, some do not. Some include a device app, others do not. The Blueair ComfortPure 3-in-1 takes air quality and control not only to the next level, but sends it through the roof and into outer space. ** 3-in-1 ** So you own an air purifier. That is a great choice in general. But does your air purifier also provide heat and/or cold air flow, while cleaning and purifying the air? If you answered no, you should do yourself a favor and look into the Blueair ComfortPure 3-in-1. This unit does all three efficiently, while looking great in the process. In my testing, I have found that the unit heats and cools perfectly in my bedroom. The oscillation feature throws gentle heat to every corner of the room and the unit is whisper quiet. ** FEATURES AND APP ** I am personally using this in my bedroom and I have it set on a schedule to automatically turn itself on and off each day at a specific time. This is an extremely easy process to configure in the user-friendly app. The app lets you configure almost every feature without having to physically touch the unit at all. In fact, once my initial schedule was configured, the only time I actually need to touch the unit, or included remote, is to turn on the heater. Apparently due to regulations, you cannot turn the heater on through the app itself. After thinking about this, I can completely understand why, so this isn’t the fault of the app or Blueair’s design. It is simply a mandatory safety regulation to keep you safe from accidental misplacement of the unit and a possible fire. If you can’t see the unit when you turn on the heater, you shouldn’t be able to turn on the heater. This makes perfect sense to me. With that out of the way, the rest of the app features and monitoring information for AQI, PM, Humidity, and Indoor Temp are all easy to read and keep track of. Once your location is assigned in the app, you can even monitor exterior AQI. You can also monitor your filter life in percentage, as well as control the rest of the features, modes, and fan speed with a simple tap. Lastly, there is a graph in the app that shows your previous air quality by day, week, and month. Another great and useful feature. ** BUILD QUALITY ** This air purifier is built to last. It feels extremely well built and has a heft to it in a good way. It is very easy to move with the included handle on the back of the unit. The filter door is easy to open and replacing the filter itself takes less than a minute. The top side command center feels sturdy when tapping the controls, is backlit, very easy to read, and looks great. ** FINAL THOUGHTS ** After owning several air purifiers over the years, the thought never crossed my mind to combine air purification, with both heating and cooling in a single unit. This single device has effectively taken the place of three units. All of my older air purifiers, and heaters will be replaced with the Blueair ComfortPure 3 in 1, effectively updating my home to the highest quality air purification and comfort available on the market today.

5 More than just an air purifier
Posted by Brian Casey on Sep 30th 2024
The T10i shows how far Blueair has come in both design and capabilities of their air filtration units. First of all, it is absolutely gorgeous. The T10i looks like it belongs with the decor, instead of sticking out like a sore thumb like some other units I have working around the house. The T10i is also very quiet in operation. Only when it speeds up above two on the fan speed can you distinctly hear it running (which only happens on occasion, like when a door is open too long or someone burns some food, lol). Blueair suggests utilizing the T10i in rooms with a max square footage of 175 square feet (due to the 12.5 minute air cleaning time), but allows for rooms up to 840 square feet (takes an hour to clean the air). I have the T10i sitting in a space between my kitchen and the family room, near my back door. The area is probably 500 square feet or so, and the T10i has no issues whatsoever keeping the air clean (as indicated by the pollutant tracking display on the top of the unit). The T10i has some additional bells and whistles that must be mentioned. For one, it oscillates, so it can double as a fan to move some air around the room. Another added benefit is the heating element built into it, which allows the T10i to act as a heated fan. Cold hands after coming in from outside? Fire up the heater in the T10i and hold your hands near the outlet. Works great! Also does a great job of heating up a smaller room without having to run your central heating. The unit comes with a remote, or better, you can download the app to a smartphone and control it that way. The T10i is literally a set it and forget it piece. The app allows complete control of the T10i, and also trends air quality for you. I set the fan on automatic and boosted purification auto and just let it do its thing. This is a fantastic piece of equipment. It just works. Air quality has improved in my downstairs since plugging it in, and I’ve noticed a decrease in dust and cat hair/dander on furniture and floor. Highly recommended!

5 It heats really well! Cooling is just a fan!
Posted by Amy Vaughan on Sep 25th 2024
Surprisingly good At first I was a little disappointed. I wanted this to be more ‘smart’ and connected and offer more automation, but it’s unfortunately very minimal. I mean it has an app, and I can schedule it to do certain stuff and what not, but for the most part, it only does reporting to an app, and remote control via an app… well minus the heating stuff, you can’t use the remote app for. You can use the remote itself though for it. And yes you have to create an account to use the app unfortunately! Loses points there! Speaking of the app, the App is decent looking, well designed and easy to understand. I did find that it’s redundant and throws my address in multiple areas, but you can avoid that by just putting your city and state for the outdoor air quality reporting. You can create a Home in the app and add it to that address if you’d like, but that’s optional. The App and the Fan itself is pretty well designed over all. Honestly they are both kind of just plug and play. Very intuitive designs and thoughtful placements of things. As for the fan itself, it feels cheap. When I removed the plastic filter cover, it felt really thin and fragile. I was hesitant putting this thing in my daughter’s bedroom, but I did anyway and let her know that this is something she will need to watch out for. The fan itself is really quiet for the most part! I never heard it and for the first few days I thought it wasn’t working. I kept it on Auto and nothing to report other than it said my air was clean. I sprayed some cologne by it and it flared up and started going crazy. The fan can get loud and can quickly get annoying if your air quality is consistently bad. That said, you can control the fan noise, and it can be lowered if needed. There is a night mode too which is nice. For the cooling features of the fan…. Well it’s a fan. There is no real cooling feature, it’s just a fan. It does however move a ton of air. I was surprised how much air it moved. I was able to feel the air from the other side of my daughter’s room. The heating functionality is really good, in her little room it got her room tangibly warmer in minutes. I now understand the warning they place all over the box. My basement has a small space heater that I use from time to time in the winter but it’s really little and not good. I may put this in the basement to use as a heater as well as a purifier. There’s a built in thermometer that you can gauge the temp with, BUT it was way off from what the room temp sensor said. So keep that in mind. I personally believed our room sensor more so than the sensor on the unit. Overall it does a great job I think, displays filter life, nice remote controls from the app and information about the air quality at your finger tips. I wish it had more things like Radon detection or had some smart functionality like you can yell at Google to turn it on or Alexa, or Siri. Long story short, I am happy with it.

5 Set it and forget it
Posted by Taylor Barnett on Sep 22nd 2024
This is, without a doubt, the best air purifier I’ve ever owned. Having previously lived in the Pacific Northwest, I dealt with wildfires every summer and tried numerous budget air purifiers. Most of them either stopped working or barely worked to begin with. This BlueAir purifier is in a league of its own. What sets it apart is the app, which not only confirms that it’s working but also tracks the air quality in real-time. The front LED indicator is another great feature, providing a quick visual cue of air quality—Blue for the best and Red for the worst. I suspect this is where the name "BlueAir" comes from. In terms of sound, it’s impressively quiet. On low settings, it’s virtually unnoticeable, and on higher settings, it produces a pleasant white noise that’s great for bedtime. The customizable oscillation is my favorite feature. Using the app, you can adjust the oscillation range, which is perfect for different room placements. For example, if it’s in a corner, you can limit the oscillation to avoid blowing air into walls. Place it in the center of a room, and you can set it to oscillate up to 350 degrees. After nearly a week of continuous use, I’m still impressed. Early on, my wife was styling her hair near the purifier with various sprays, and the purifier immediately picked up the spike in air quality. You can see the spike in the picture I posted. Although I wanted this primarily for my son’s room—he struggles with springtime allergies—it will be living in my home office until then because of how strong the heater is. It quickly warms a room, and unlike standard heaters, the sound it produces is more of a soothing background noise. The app works flawlessly. It allows you to monitor air quality, set schedules, and control the purifier remotely (though you can’t turn on the heat from the app). It even notifies you when it’s time to replace filters, and you can order replacements directly through the app. Simple, intuitive, and reliable—something rare in modern apps. Its compact design is also a big plus. It’s unobtrusive and fits seamlessly into any space. Combine that with the scheduling feature, and it’s practically a “set it and forget it” product. I review and purchase a lot of products, but rarely do I find one that excels in every aspect with no glaring weaknesses. This air purifier does exactly what it should—effortlessly. I know it’s just an air purifier, but that’s kinda the whole point… an air purifier shouldn’t be something you have to fidget with and try to figure out how to use, it should simply work, and that’s what this one does.

5 An Amazing 3-in-1!
Posted by Marcus Martinez on Sep 22nd 2024
I honestly didn't expect this device to be such a Beast! The 3 in 1 Capability is phenomenal. Setting up the device is Super Easy. You can't mess it up. The device is not heavy and can easily be lifted with one hand. It has a sturdy handle that is attached to the device. It comes with 3 Modes which are Cooling, Heating, and Purification. I enjoyed the heating function very much, with the cold weather coming in rapidly. You can get to each mode in 3 different ways. The buttons on the device, remote, or the app. I much preferred to use the buttons and the remote. By the way, the remote doesn't feel cheap. The Heating mode is amazing. It works very well. With the oscillation function the device oscillates better than most other devices. You get what seems to be a full 180 oscillation ability. There is an adjustment for fan speed from 0-4. The cooling feature would be great for an office. You can put this on a desk to gain some airflow. Keeping a good breeze going. It comes with all the basic functions like sleep timers, eco mode, etc. If it gets tipped over, there is also an auto cut-off feature. There is a lot to like about the Blueair Air Purifier. You get Heat, Cooling, and Purification all in one. It's very quiet and can fit on a desk. It can be moved from room to room. The filter should last 6 months to 1 year according to the manual. Plus, you get clean air! Who wouldn't want that?

4 Full function in a smaller form
Posted by Daniel Frank on Sep 19th 2024
This is my second 3-in-1 device, and the most impressive thing to note is the footprint. My other unit is the size of a standard kitchen trashcan, while the Blueair is literally half that with the same level of functionality. When you first plug it in, it immediately calibrates, and if you have the app installed, you can get a precise readout on your air quality. The touchscreen is very basic, but completely operational providing al necessary functionality should you choose not to install the app. Heating is effective in coverage, speed to warmth, and volume, but the internal thermostat is questionable in small degree variances. I'll explain in my negatives below. Cooling is a powerful fan. It does have good airflow, but note that it is just a fan, not a functional "cooler." The unit does exactly what it says and does it well in a very small form factor, and my issues have very little to do with its performance. Issues- Lackluster remote. The remote is extremely basic with very limited options for tailoring usage. Also, a big also, if you turn on the screen lock on the unit, the remote becomes useless. You cannot change modes, makes adjustments, or tailor airflow until you physically go and unlock the screen, or use the app to unlock the screen, then use the remote, which is asinine. Speaking of the app. App reliance- If you want the best experience, you will need to download the app. While you can get full use with the touchscreen, the app will be your primary tool for setting variables (timer, approaching home, etc.). Being that this is my second Blueair device, I am accustomed to the app and enjoy using it, but note that if you're not, you'll need it to truly experience all this device has to offer. Calibration- Each time you turn on the purifier, it will need to calibrate and read the air. This takes some time, and limits some functions. The issue is once it's calibrated, and you accidentally power it off, and immediately power it back on, you're waiting for it to calibrate again. Minor issue, but it can be tedious if you're trying to turn it on right before the kids head to bed. Internal measurements- In addition to my purifiers, I have hygrometers throughout the space that accurately measure temp, humidity, and other metrics. In comparison with the Blueair, the temperature reads have improved, but in the beginning, once I set a temperature for the heat, it would be off by 1-4 degrees. That may not seem like a lot, but the difference between 70 and 74 degrees can be stark. To be fair, it has improved and I only mention it so that you can be aware to test it out for your usage. The humidity in the Blueair is usually off by 5-10%. this doesn't affect me much as I rely on the hygrometer for humidifier function, but if you want precision across the board, this is a hang-up. To recap, the functionality of the unit is top-notch. Excellent air quality with functional heating and a powerful fan that provides full room coverage. While I have a few hiccups in the details, I would recommend this without question.

4 Great HEPA Filter and Heater Combo
Posted by Jennifer Woods on Sep 16th 2024
The ComfortPure 3-in-1 purifier is a great option for smaller to medium sized rooms, but there are a few features that could use some improvement. Noise: The T10i is whisper-quiet for the most part. In the cooling and air purification settings, the air purifier is whisper-quiet. However, when the unit is pumping out heat and set to oscillation while trying to maintain the room's temperature, it has a tendency to ramp up and down quite a bit. This, in turn, leads to peaks and valleys of noise levels that can be fairly annoying in a quiet room when you are trying to sleep. Most of the time, I try not to sleep with a heater on, so it's not an issue for my use case. App: The app is great and offers a lot of smart features you come to expect with air purifiers in this price point. You can do everything from monitoring air quality, adjusting the fan speeds, setting schedules, and even monitoring the humidity. These are all incredible features, but you don't have the ability to control the heater. Not being able to turn the heater on and off from the app is probably the biggest bummer for me. I realize there are laws and regulations that Blueair must follow, but having to get out of bed to adjust the settings or hope you have the remote close by is definitely an inconvenience. Remote: The remote is incredibly basic and does not have any display, which makes it difficult to see at night or know what speed the fan is set to. You can still control each of the three modes as well as the auto and oscillation settings, but I think Blueair missed the mark here. You're better off using the app on your phone in my opinion, but again, you can't control the heater. Display: The display could use some serious work, but it gets the job done. I would expect, at this price point, to have a more intuitive LCD screen with a nice UI, but the display on the T10i looks and feels like it was repurposed from a $60 heater. It's not as responsive to touch as I would like, and there are little quirks. For example, there are two arrows next to the temperature display that allow you to cycle between the PM2.5 reading and the target temperature setting for the heater. The issue I've noticed is that when I want to quickly change the target temperature, I instinctively tap the up or down arrows, but if you don't remember to tap the heat setting before trying to set the temperature, it just cycles through the target temperature and PM2.5 reading. It's not a huge deal, but it does get annoying. I would equate it to typing your password and forgetting the caps lock is on. Overall: So far, the T10i has been great all around. The app is incredibly useful for fine-tuning settings and offers more information than the display can provide. It has more than enough power to control the air in our master bedroom, which is about 200 sq. ft. After using it for a few weeks now, I don't think I would recommend it for a room larger than 300 sq. ft. I know that the specifications say that it's rated for 450 sq. ft., but I think that would really be pushing its capabilities. Also, at this price point, I would really like to see a carbon filter.

4 Great features... Just wish it looked better
Posted by Grace Lee on Sep 12th 2024
This purifier does a lot more, and in different ways, than many other purifiers. It oscillates, pushes air through the room from it’s side jets, acts as a space heater, and cools via it’s fans in two modes (Note: not an air conditioner) - all in a compact device. The only thing I don’t love about it is how it looks. __ Performance __ It’s very quiet and still moves plenty of air when used in the first two fan speeds, but higher speeds are more noticeable and buffeting. Heat is almost instant, but based on the chosen desired temperature. This sometimes leads to moments where it’s blowing unheated air, and then upon selecting a slightly higher target - really boosts the heat. I don’t mind, but it can lead to some furniture near the unit becoming quite hot if placed too close to the air jet. Oscillation is also helpful, acting as a secondary fan to really move the air around the space. This feature is quiet too, but has a slight mechanical sound in operation. I might turn it off if trying to sleep, but I have sensitive hearing - so take that with a grain of salt. In general, I quite like the versatility of this purifier. It handles more scenarios than you might think. __ Design __ In some ways, I like how utility-forward it is. But with one style of slots on the back to pull air into it’s filters, a different style of slot holes on top, and yet more air fins on the front to push air outward - it’s a bit loaded with holes, and they’re all different. I wish they would have tried to visually hide some of them with their usual fabric or a darker material, especially on the top. I don’t love the resulting appearance, but there’s no questioning the quality of the device. Its compact footprint makes it easy to place. Since it’s short, I can place it under our dining table for some additional warmth, all while it purifies. The top of the unit also has a fairly straightforward, if slightly cluttered display of buttons. Most options are directly exposed, so it could be good for the less tech-savvy - but again, it also somewhat adds clutter to the device. Every option is dimly lit, with others getting brighter to show status. Think of it as a remote permanently attached to the top of the machine. Of course you also get an actual remote that does much of the same things. (But not setting the target temperature, strangely - that is only adjusted on the device.) Setting the heat target is somewhat unintuitive in itself, requiring you to press the heat button before toggling the arrow keys. And yet, I’d still say it’s easy to control on the whole. __ App __ I really like the app view! - It has all the good information you’d want, front and center. It shows air quality inside and out, temp and humidity, as well as all of the device function controls you’d expect - with the exception of heating. The heating mode has a button, but it’s only there to display a prompt that simply says that you can’t remotely control this mode from afar. You must use either the remote or top control panel to switch to it. I get it… it’s a safety consideration, but having the button there (instead of a message) is a bit weird. __ Summary __ Overall, it’s a very capable device that can handle a number of air needs, acting as your fan, space heater and purifier in a compact package that’s easy to move around or store. It’s quiet, but not without a a few quirks and discrepancies in how you can control the unit between the control pad, remote, and app. It’s not my favorite in terms of aesthetics or price, but I appreciate it for what it can do well.
