Cuisinart - PerfecTemp Cordless Electric Kettle - Silver

This is a powerful electric kettle that heats to 6 different temperatures, with suggested temperatures for green, oolong, and white tea. The kettle does get a little loud, but it's worth it given how efficiently it heats the water. 1.7L is pretty good capacity - enough to fill two 20-oz. sized Yeti's with some leftover water. It's a little pricey, but I think it seems like it should be a reliable kitchen appliance for many years to come.

What I really like is it has six preset temperatures. Hopefully it will last a long time. Best Buy delivery is fast and their pricing is always competitive....

Very easy to use and control. Keep warm feature is clutch. Heats up water quickly. Not a very loud notification when the water temp is finished so stay close by. Have used everyday multiple times a day since purchase

2018-11-14. So I've only been using this a couple of months now and so far so good. No issues with functionality. Cuisinart has always been a leader in small home appliances and this kettle is no exception. The model I'm reviewing is the CPK-17. This unit is fairly large at 1.7L, and I've never boiled water at maximum capacity. The kettle has a large viewing area to see water levels and is backlit with a blue light. I'm not sure if this is a UV light to kill bacteria, but if it is, that a bonus! Of the 6 presets. 5 of them are dedicated to teas, so if you're a tea lover this little baby will have you covered most of the time. I do indulge in Green Tea from time to time, and I think the perfect brewing temperature for Green Tea is 172F. Unfortunately for me, they have Green Tea set at 170F. But other than that the unit is great, it brings 1L of water to a boil within minutes. The controls are smartly placed on the handle and the kettle has there is a nice keep warm feature (button activated) which is designed to keep the water hot after it reaches a boil for 30 minutes. This is perfect for me as I brew my coffee one cup at a time. Other than that, they're in line with the competition; the handle remains cool to the touch at all times, but the kettle itself does get hot as all kettles do; there is an auto shut off to prevent water from over-boiling, and a sleep mode found in many other kettles in today's market. This is my 3rd kettle in about 5 years. My previous kettles were great too, but they didn't seem to withstand the test of time. I ended up purchasing this kettle for two main reasons: 1. The price has finally come down over the years. When this kettle first came out, it was going for a hundred bucks. Now, you can find it for about 60% of that price. 2. The reviews had indicated that the quality was good; sturdy construction with quality parts. Other criteria of mine this kettle met include: The opening is large enough for my hand to fit it in (to clean it) - The lid can be removed! Lightweight for easier portability. Removable and washable scale filter. While the unit is on the pricier side (the going rate at time of this review is still about twice what I'm used to paying for an electric kettle), I decided to take a chance on it in hopes that the quality will make up for it. I love the design of the product.. I give the manufacturer credit for coming up with innovative idea... but the only issue I discovered after is that... inside the kettle has started to rust... which is not a good thing.

I'm a huge loose tea drinker and this is perfect for my tea station.

Love that its easy to use and boils water quickly. The only issue is cleaning is ackward since the lid doesnt come off and the opening is not that big, fortunatley i have small hands. Loving having rhe presets for all the different teas that i drink. I dont have to think abput it or look it up

I had one just like this for many years. I love the preset temperature for the different type of tea and the keep warm option. The reason I rated this as a four is my older model you could program the exact degrees you wanted within 5 degree increments and it had a read out for the current water temperature. This one just has the preset buttons for the type of tea. I miss the other features but over all this is an excellent tea kettle
