4 Unmistakably a Dyson. Good but not best purifier
Posted by Jennifer Nixon on Oct 5th 2024
In our house, we love our Dyson vacuums (both corded and cordless) and our Dyson hair dryer. We also love our Blueair air purifiers that I've purchased for most of the rooms in our house. As a family we've invested heavily in reliable air purifiers to make sure everyone in the house can breath well with our pets (2 cats, 2 dogs) but have really found them great now that we've had major wild fire air quality problems two years running. Given how much we like our other Dyson products I was excited for the Purifier Cool Gen1. It is a great purifier, and what I really like is that it oscillates and fans while it purifies so that you can really cycle air faster. It comes with a remote and while it asks you to setup the Dyson app as you open the box, it is NOT a smart device. I've liked my Blueair Blue Pure 311i Max that has a similar sq ft rating and is half the price of the Dyson because it does give me air quality history for review on my phone: see the historical air quality is important to me so it was frustrating not to have that feature. The LCD screen provides lots of details regarding function but I foundmyself missing the simple color coded LED light that instantly told me the rough quality of air (white, blue, yellow, orange red) Perhaps the biggest issue with it however is that the form factor and overall lightweight make it very tippy: it stands roughly 4 feet tall and weighs peanuts, so even the cats have the ability to knock it over when they're running through the house in the middle of the night. Ultimately this is a great looking air purifier with great HEPA level filtration, nice LCD screen, great oscillating functionality to fan with purified air and an intuitive remote control. Like many things Dyson, the cost is a huge factor and in this particular case I think there are competing products (Blueair!) that also look great, perform well and for a fraction of the Dyson cost.

4 Doesnt get rid of odor
Posted by Katie Mcintosh on Sep 25th 2024
I had a purifier prior to this that actually removes odor in the room including that from an Air Wick. This one doesnt rid of odors in the room especially the bad one. But fan funcfionality is great. It does say that air is clean, but I doubt it. I wish it also had app connectivity being a product sold in 2024.

4 Premium and Effective Purifying Fan
Posted by Stacy Clark on Sep 19th 2024
I recently got the Dyson purifier cool gen1 TP10 purifying fan, and I have to express my satisfaction with its performance. This product arrives in an exceptionally premium package, and upon unboxing, I was pleasantly surprised to find it pre-assembled and ready for use. All that was required of me was to remove the plastic covering the fan and remote, making the setup process incredibly hassle-free. Upon switching on the purifier, I immediately noticed that the live air quality monitor displayed an almost yellow indicator. However, after running for just 30 minutes, the air quality had noticeably improved, reaching a low green level. This was particularly impressive, especially considering that my living room is quite spacious, covering an area of approximately 20x18 feet. Intrigued by its performance, I decided to test the purifier in a larger game room. To my amazement, in just 20 minutes with the fan set to level 9, the air quality transitioned from medium green to low green. It's not merely an excellent purifier; it also operates as a powerful fan that is entirely safe to use, allowing you to insert your hand through the center without any safety concerns. Great for families with small kids. Pros: Efficient purification Night mode Adjustable oscillation Convenient out-of-the-box experience Safe design without the need for an app or voice control, ideal for privacy-conscious users On-device screen indicating filter replacement, a practical feature based on measured air flow Cons: Sole reliance on the included remote, which necessitates caution not to misplace Limited on-device controls No active cooling function Noise levels at the highest fan speeds can be a drawback The remote's plastic quality feels somewhat subpar for a Dyson product Lack of paper instructions While the price is on the higher side, the unit offers exceptional performance. Filter replacements come with a high MSRP, which may accumulate costs in households with shedding pets that may accelerate filter clogging. In such scenarios, a model with a washable pre-filter for larger debris, like pet hair, would be advantageous. In summary, the Dyson purifier cool gen1 TP10 stands out as a remarkable purifying fan that effectively enhances air quality while doubling as a fan. Its sleek design and user-friendly features make it a valuable addition to any home, despite the premium price point.

4 The baseline value Dyson fan/air purifier to get!
Posted by Joshua Tapia on Sep 13th 2024
If you are looking for a Dyson fan/air purifier and don't need the heat or connected app/WiFi functions, then this is the best one to get. It does a great job of moving the air around in my large living room while being MUCH quieter than my previous generic brand tower fan. PROS: I love that the remote control can magnetically dock at the top of the unit, so it's always easy to find. The fan offers an amazing choice of oscillation choices: 45 degrees, 90 deg., 180 deg. and full 350 degree rotation! The "air multiplier" bladeless fan feature really does work and it's great peace of mind for me, since I have little kids at home and don't have to worry about them sticking their little fingers in the fan. The fan speed is practically variable - it goes from barely anything, can't even hear it, all the way up to the max speed which is fairly loud, but moves an incredible amount of air. There's a manual sleep/night mode which turns off the LED display, but this is not a sleep timer, but it's not a sleep timer (which I mistakenly thought it was). The "AUTO" fan mode will dynamically adjust the fan speed up and down based on how "dirty" the fan sensors detect the air quality. The LED display records and displays the air quality in real time and historical, but in nearly a week of use, I never saw the quality move above the "yellow" range. CONS: If you move the fan around a lot, it's hard to tell where the rotation is "centered" around; you have to look for the very small dyson logo on the base. The power cord is only about 6 feet long, so you're somewhat limited if you want to place it in the center of the room for maximum effect. There's also no built-in cord management features. As mentioned earlier, this Dyson lacks any app or Wifi connectivity, so you can't use your phone or any smart home devices to control it. As with all Dyson products, the price is much higher than a generic tower fan, but you get a lot of quality and features to go with it.

5 Excellent Air Purifier!
Posted by Kathryn Smith on Sep 8th 2024
I am big fan of Dyson due to the quality, design, and reliability products. I was looking to buy the air purifier from Dyson and Dyson - Purifier Cool Gen1 TP10. It came with Dyson Purifier Cool Gen1 TP10, Glass HEPA+Carbon filter, Remote Control and Owner's Manual. The design looks stunning and blended very well in our living room. Setup is very easy by removing the purifier from the box and connect to the power. I have downloaded the MyDyson and app and added the purifier by entering the serial number from bottom the device. MyDyson is app has very limited features and it is just to register the device and there is no option to control the purifier other than using the remote. With Air Multiplier technology, the air will be circulated throughout the room and project 76 gallons of air per second throughout the room. It oscillates up to 350 degrees with increment of 45, 90, 180. With preset run time, it is easy to program to turn off after pre-set intervals of 1, 2,4 and 8 hours. With Night mode, it monitors and purifies with the quiet settings as well as dimmed display to avoid any distraction. It covers up to 800 square feet and has Air quality indicator light with color display. It comes with Fully sealed to HEPA H13 filter. With Built-in three sensors, it senses and reports air quality, automatically. With the combination filter with a HEPA layer captures dust, pollen, ultrafine particles, and allergens, while an activated carbon layer removes gases and odors. I have been using this purifier and getting pure air and it runs very quiet even with high fan mode. It comes with 2-year manufacturer warranty and excellent addition to the home to get pure air.
