Great job picking up cat hair

Posted by Donna Terrell on Dec 3rd 2024

Love this! It does a great job cleaning up cat hair and is very quiet. It sends an alert to my phone when it needs emptied. The app is easy to use.

    Simply the best

It is simply the best robot vacuum. Doesn’t run into stuff and it is pretty quiet. Super easy to clean and maintain. One note, don’t buy bags and brushes on Amazon, they are fake and don’t work properly. The app makes it super easy to keep up with maintenance and cleaning and even shows when parts are nearing the end of their usable life. I would highly recommend!

Best overall robot vacuum with mop feature.

Posted by Jackie Fitzpatrick on Nov 3rd 2024

I’ve owned three different brands of robot vacuums over the years, and this Ecovacs vacuum is by far best all around I found in the mid range price so far. The best things about this vacuum are the app, accuracy at detecting boundaries and doc station, charge station/vacuum and mopping feature. The less impressive of these is the mopping feature. The App: it is easy to set up, follow the prompts and instructions in the attached insert and installation is a breeze. You can see the status of the charge, messages on issues and can start/stop even when away from home. The app shows the location and movements in the house and creates a map of the rooms which is very accurate. The vacuum is very efficient and has a better cleaning pattern than the other robot vacuums we have. One of the best things is that the battery lasts long and the ability of the vacuum return to charge once the cleaning is complete. While the mopping feature is nice, it doesn’t do as perfect job as the vacuum does. But still is worth the investment.

    Good robot!

Good little robot. Was surprised by how much it picked up. There are lots of settings for functionality. The mop function is nice too. Not a scrubbing mop but it works for a quick clean.

Bought it for my kid. He loves it. Uses it consitantly. Would be great if they sold the unit with extra dust bags considerony you cant buy them in the store. But thats the only concern i have.

    Wont even dock itself!

Posted by Peter Rich on Oct 27th 2024

So i read all these positive reviews and had to have it! I am beyond disappointed, it gets stuck on my low pile runners, wont even attempt to go on my high pile bedroom rugs and as if that wasnt bad enough it gets to the dock, starts the climb up the ramp then for some inknown reason starts to turn right or left. Drives right off the dock! I thought well maybe ill help it get better traction so i added silicone rubber stair traction tape. That wasnt it, still does the same thing! The maps are not even remotely the shape of my rooms either! Im taking it back and ill find one that doesnt have to climb a mountain to dock!

    Im keeping it...

IEasily one of the best two in one vacuum robots. Every feature I was looking for is and more but... SO MUCH cheaper compared to Irobot. If you're looking for your first ever robot vacuum this ons has to be it.

    Great combo vacuum and mop

Posted by Natasha Russell on Oct 16th 2024

I have been using this robot vacuum/mopper for about 3 days now and I really like it. The robot is setup on the main floor of our condo and vacuums two bedrooms (carpet) and vaccums/mops the kitchen, family room and bathrooms (wood floors and LVT). First, setup was fairly straight-forward, though I did have a challenge getting it connected via the app/wireless at the beginning. Not a big deal, but probably took about 15 minutes and multiple tries to get it setup. I'm comfortable with technology so it was just a nuisance and hasn't been a recurring issue. Another area that isn't as easy as it should be is the app. As soon as I got it connected, there is a button to start the robot to allow it to map the house. That part went well and it was easy to start, stop, and return the robot home from the main page. What I couldn't find easily was setting up a schedule. It really should have been somewhere linked from the first page...instead, you click run, click the 3 dots at the top right, and select scheduling. I still have to search through the screens a couple times to remember where that is located. Next, this does both mopping and vacuuming so you want to make sure you aren't spraying water on your carpets or rugs. That's easy to setup in the map area of the app. You can select areas you don't want the robot to go when you are mopping by blocking that area off. You can also block off areas that you don't want it to go when vacuuming. I really like this feature since I can't count the number of times my old robot would get stuck under a piece of furniture, behind the sofa or get stuck on a thick rug. The map is my favorite feature in the app since you can see exactly where the robot cleaned and how many square feet it cleaned. When mopping, you just add water to the reservoir and send it on it's way. There are settings in the app to say how much water or suction to use, but I just kept the default settings for now and it worked perfectly. The one other challenge that I had was determining how to change it from mopping to vacuuming. I had trouble trying to figure out how to get it out of mopping mode. You have to remove the mop pad in order switch to vacuum mode. As a result, you can't do both mopping and vacuuming without someone being there to switch back and forth. Not a big deal if you are home, but can't setup schedules to do both without someone making that switch on the robot. At the end of a run, it auto empties the robot. You still need to empty the reservoir after mopping and clean the dust bin on the robot from time to time, but having it auto-empty into the base takes away most of the cleanup. Overall, despite a few minor issues, I really like this robot. The option of mopping and vacuuming is a big plus as well. I would recommend this one for doing both.
