Electrolux - 4.5 Cu.Ft. Stackable Front Load Washer with Steam and SmartBoost Wash System - Titanium

My wife loves all the settings and says it does an excellent job. During the first couple of washes, it vibrated a lot, but then it automatically knows how fast to spin to avoid doing that again - and it works perfectly: it is very quiet and hardly a vibration. The pedestal raises it to the perfect height.

This is my second washer in a month. I liked first one. Was washing very well, saving detergent and efficient. However, was making a very terrible spinning noise shaking the whole house. Asked to replace it. Customer service very good! When installing of second one came, found that under the existing one was left a big foam and that one probably was making the noise. The second one is quiet but I have some reservations. The buttons are very sensitive and you have to press them many times because they go very fast. It doesn’t save the cycle when you set ( first one saved it and the manual instructions are saying it should save) I did use the optic white cycle and used extra rinse but still the clothes came very stiff and not rinsed well. I did use the refered detergents and measurements. At this point I am not very happy with the second one…..

So far it's working as expected. Very quiet. I like the presoak options compare to my old Maytag front load machine. Hoping the extra rinse options help my son's eczema.

We purchased this set to replace a 14 yr old Electrolux set that was becoming a bit louder, but still worked well. Most worth mentioning is that the Geek Squad that delivered and set these up were the best. They were led by "Alex", and were courteous, professional and clean. Pros: Electrolux is definitely the quietest built. They LAST as proven by our 14 yr old set these replaced. The Optic Whites cycle really works! I'm not sure what it does, but it washes our whites brighter than the old set did with bleach. These tubs are HUGE! They can handle anything you throw in, and do it quietly (did I mention they're really quiet?) We love the "door stand" that magnetically holds the door open about a 2" crack to allow everything to dry out when not in use to prevent mildew, which can be a problem with all of the front l9ad washers. Cons: Some reviewers mention a "perfumey" odor from the door seal. You can notice an odor, but after a week it diminshed to nothing. So, not a big deal. They no longer offer the color we had (Red) which we really liked. The pedestals are a must have to raise front loaders to a comfortable height for my back. These pedestals are slightly smaller then the red ones we had, however the stopped using the spring loaded latching mechanism that failed every few years on the old set, so this is a Pro. Lastly, they need to do a better job of explaining the names of the cycles, i.e., there is no Permanent Press cycle like anyone over 30 is familiar with. There's a Normal cycle that is highly configurable with water temp, steam, and more, but this all requires a bit of a learning curve. The loads take much longer to run than the old set (60 -90 minutes) unless using Fast Wash, but just let this washer do it's thing to really clean well and do it gently.

we are loving our washer, I'm short and now I can get my clothes out without falling in lol. We are saving on laundry supplies it takes less in machine. I also love the door has a prop handle that props the door open for drying it out, so no mildew.

Great washer. Clothes come out very clean. It's very quiet and very fast. The door doesn't close as easily as I would like. You have to leave the door open to keep from getting bad smells.
