Quiet and large volume, do not need to empty the bucket very often.

2 Unreliable
Posted by Robert Carter on Nov 17th 2024
I've owned several Frigidaire dehumidifiers over the years, including this one. Nice WiFi features and design, but guaranteed to start icing up or stop working completely within 2 years. Do NOT buy unless you plan on getting an extended warranty as well. Note that they are no longer offering a 5 year warranty on the sealed components (evaporator, condenser, refrigerant lines), so after 1 year customer service won't help and instead tell you to find someone to fix it yourself!

4 Works well

It works well and is real quiet when running normally. It removes the humidity surprisingly fast. You can really hear when the compressor turns off and on though. Worth the money.

1 Nice while it lasted, and horrible customer serv.
Posted by Nicole Wells on Nov 13th 2024
Received the unit on 8/6/2021. Dehumifier was easy to setup in the app (although I had to do this more than once as the app could no longer connect to the dehumifier). 25 days into use, the evaporator coil started icing up (in a 70 degree basement with a clean air filter). Next came the EC error code). Since I was out of the return window, I had to wait an hour on the phone with Frigidaire to get a case number and send in documentation. Sent the documentation via right after the call, and 2 weeks later had to wait another hour on hold to ask why I hadn't heard anything...yep, they claimed never to receive it. Send it again and got an acknowledgement of receipt. Two weeks later, still no new unit, acknowledgement of shipping, etc. There are better options out there, and I wont touch another Frigidaire item again due to their customer service.

5 Great purchase

This dehumidifier is great! It keeps our basement at a consistent humidity level and hasn’t made our electric bill go crazy

1 Expensive Trash

Dehumidifier is good, the app makes it completely not worth buying. It’s every week I have to fight and waste 30+ minutes of my time to reconnect to my device.

5 Great dehumidifier with convenient wifi controls
Posted by Robin Sanders on Oct 17th 2024
After my previous Whirlpool dehumidifier was recalled recently after 4 years of ownership, I was in the market for a new one. I wasn’t thrilled because most were quite a bit more expensive than what I paid. Most reviews I came across online really sang the praises of the Frigidaire brand across the board. So far I agree. Does a solid job pulling moisture out of the air in our basement, and does so without giving off a lot of heat which I’ve dealt with in the past. The wifi pairing is a little tricky at first, but once dialed it’s really convenient. I can check humidity levels from anywhere, and then can turn on the unit, make adjustments, set an on or off timer, etc. I loved it so much I ended up buying a second for our attic. Doesn’t have a pump feature but honestly I’ve never seemed to trust those from not leaking everywhere anyways.

Started icing up not long after the warranty expired.

1 Do not buy, compressor failure in 18 months.
Posted by Rose Hunter on Sep 29th 2024
Garbage product with bad customer service. Called support on May 16th and went through a cumbersome warranty process with a rude customer service representative. Submitted all the necessary documentation including peeling off the SN sticker and and placing it on a form to have the request rejected because they mis-typed the information. No one ever informed me of the warranty issue and when I did finally call them they stated they don't know why I wasn't contacted. To have a device like this fail in less than 2 years is unacceptable and to have Frigidaire/Electrolux not stand behind the product is disappointing. I should have listened to the other reviews...I will not be buying another Frigidaire or Electrolux product.
