It’s a good trash compactor, but it’s noisier than our old one.

When I purchased this the stainless steel had ripples and I had to request to replace it I do not really like the design of this since it doesn't have a handle to pull it open. Since no handle, finger prints are easily shown.

Junk disposal

Do not buy. It has a design flaw and makes it so that the opening mechanism breaks. See other reviews. Reached out to GE and they refused to do anything. It’s worthless now as it won’t open after less than 1 .5 years of regular use. Shame on Ge for selling this design flawed object and then not standing by there products. That’s after it arrived with a warped door that I had to get replaced by my appliance store rep.

Disappointment. The people that came out to measure before we ordered didn't measure correctly and when we pull out the compactor it hits into a cabinet door handle. Also, the compactor itself is not very effective.

I really love this new trash compactor! The pedal only access is really convenient. It saves time and has a positive affect on the environment because I use less plastic trash bags.
