    Works good!

Works well for wet basements, starts drying it up as soon as you turn it on. Nice feature that you can attach hose and let it keep emptying into drain.

Does not last long and expensive

Posted by Marcus Baker on Dec 5th 2024

Two of these dehumidifiers died in 6 months (second one in 7 weeks). Stay far away from GE, it’s more expensive and does not last that long. I was saved by Best Buy total tech as other reviews mentioned GE’s warranty gives you the run around. Had the E6 error pictured that many others have dealt with.

    Will not work for long

Posted by Stephen Young on Nov 19th 2024

It worked ok for a few months and then died with an E6 error which apparently can't be fixed. Looking through the reviews, this seems to be a very common issue. I don't know why they are still selling them. I'm trying to go through the GE warranty now which is slow and involves having to buy another one and then hopefully getting reimbursed. Can not recommend.

    A rattle-trap!

Posted by Justin Lawrence on Nov 18th 2024

A rattle-trap and cheaply slapped together. Not built to last! Don't know what brand to recommend! Had a frigidaire same design that did same thing and didn't even last a year! When condenser runs rattles and vibrates. Thinking all these brands may be built at same place!

    HowToEmptyaBucketWithoutKickingIt

Posted by Richard Gordon on Nov 17th 2024

    1) Terrible bucket design makes it extremely difficult to remove without a lot of effort. I've gone through a lot of different dehumidifiers and this is the first one where I couldn't easily get the bucket out including older models w/o handles. 2) The fan is on the top of the unit instead of on the front panel so you cannot rest anything on top of the unit nor place it under a shelf. It'd also so be nice to have air blowing towards the wet floor instead of the ceiling. -- It is effective at taking moisture out of the air. The full light keeps flashing even if the unit is manually powered off. You have to empty the bucket and reposition it to turn the light off so you cannot let the bucket dry out on its own. Note, no quality brand dehumidifier seems to last more than 3 years. My LG stopped working which is why I bought this.

    GREAT PRODUCT

Posted by John Reyes on Nov 8th 2024

GREAT PRODUCT. IT IS NOT LOUD AND CUTS OFF AND ON AS NEEDED. THE GRAY COLOR IS GREAT ALSO,VERY EASY TO KEEP CLEAN. MY HOUSE IS VERY COMFORTABLE ALL DAY AND NIGHT. THE CONTROLS ARE EASY TO USE AND UNDERSTAND. THE FACT THAT IT IS PORTABLE IS A HUGE PLUS. I HAVE BEEN USING IT FOR A LITTLE OVER A MONTH.THE SUMMER IS COMING UP AND IT IS GOING TO GET HEAVY USE.

Unit died after less than 75 days

Posted by David Brown on Oct 31st 2024

E6 error code after 75 days. Warranty is: GE makes you buy another unit of same or greater cost. Then you submit the purchase receipt to GE for reimbursement (6-8 weeks). You pay to dispose of broken unit. Buy a Danby instead. They last longer and have a better warranty and replacement process.
