What I imagine anyone wants in a dryer: reliability! This dryer reliably dries clothes and works without any problems. It doesn’t have every bell and whistle in the world, but it works, every time, and that kind of reliability is what keeps me coming back to GE appliances over and over. Be sure to follow instructions which will tell you that on sensor dry, synthetic fabrics drying faster may cause it to think everything is dry before it actually is. I have had this dryer for years now and it is still working reliably!

Purchased this matching dryer with one of the few remaining washers that you can still select the water load size. Most washers now are all auto sensing which have come a long way but after reading researching I'm going to wait another generation of purchasing an auto sensing washer. Read read read your manual before you operate new appliances. No long are the days of plug and play. With newer appliances attempting to meet energy efficiency standards practicality has taken a back seat. This doesn't mean its a bad dryer. It just means in order to get the drying results you want you have to input the correct settings. I've found the low heat temp. setting just doesn't get warm enough to dry clothes so I've reaulted to the medium heat setting as the new base line. It can fit a queen size comforter and I imagine it would hold a king size. I wish BB did half stars as I'd rate this a 4.5 but given the steep learning curve, non user friendly directions, and the ineffectives of the low heat setting I'll give this dryer a 4 with a positive recommendation. Favorite thing is price and the high quality interior drum. Non-dusted which was a surprise get as this price point.

Great upgrade for me my last dryer went out after 15 years yes 15 years and we got this one it’s so spacious and gets the clothes dry fast

First appliance bought at Best Buy. May be last. I would give this a excellent rating but dryer was damaged when I removed it from box. Didn’t notice damage until it was in the house and was moving it into position. Dryer seems to work good and dries closer better than the one we replaced.

Bought this dryer because the heating element was out on my old unit. I was skeptical of the open box, but honestly it was dang near new condition and works really well. It has a huge capacity and long dry times to compensate bigger dryer loads.
