    Worthy effort, tweeking needed.

Posted by Lauren Ayers on Nov 1st 2024

This GE Profile gas range replaces our 20 year old GE Profile gas range. There are many improvements, and a few steps backward. Pluses are more function control and larger cook-top burner capacity. Minuses are no molded plastic liner for drawer any more, no removable cook-top drip pans around burners any more, and larger diameter higher output front cook-top burners. While higher burner capacity is desirable, it seems to come at a twofold cost. First is the diameter of the large burner flame rings. With the larger diameter burner, the flame ring diameter exceeds the bottom diameter of mid-size and smaller pots and pans. As BOTH front burners are large, this makes for hot handles, and a lot of heat missing the pot/pan. Second, it also seems that up-sizing the burner capacity, includes an increase in the minimum BTU output of all the burners. The result is that there are no burners, including the mini burner in the front tri-ring burner that will truly "simmer". I have not so far been able to make a pot of rice, that the heat level hasn't been so high as to stick a layer rice. Build quality isn't what it used to be. That said, and having looked at AND TOUCHED all the comparable competitive models before deciding on this unit it is equal in quality to all, and light-years ahead of most. In the end , I'm not displeased with the unit overall, however, it has room to improve.

    GE profile gas range

I like my new Ge gas profile range the only problem so far is that you can adjust the timer button level to make it louder. Not sure on the cleaning of the oven will write another if there's a problem.

Stainless steal and glass held on with tape.

Posted by Joyce Rivas on Oct 28th 2024

Twice I have had the front glass and stainless steal start coming off. First repair guy told me it was a real problem because all thats holding everything together is some 3m two sided tape the whole bottom started coming off. He told me the tape just cant handle the really high temps. He replaced it after 6 months of use and right after the warranty ended it started coming apart again this time on the top left side.

    GE Profile stove

Posted by Cynthia Ball on Oct 24th 2024

I love the brand GE profile but I’m not super excited about this particular model. It does have some smart features on it that I don’t use but cleaning it sometimes is hard on the top of the stove. It looks nice and the food cooks. well, I just wish, it was easier to clean the grates

    Nice functional range

Posted by Jose Spencer on Oct 18th 2024

Oven works great and stove top works like a dream have not had a chance to utilize all features. The only thing I don’t like is the draft from the oven comes over the stove top and it gets really hot

Don’t be fooled by totaltech membership

Posted by Justin Gray on Oct 18th 2024

The range came with lot of missing parts and the total tech membership was frustrated experience. They ordered all wrong parts for a different gas range not the one I purchased and didn’t even help to replace to the correct parts. I had to go to the store to get the right parts ordered. While the range is good, the overall experience was frustrating as my range was installed but no grates and burner cap missing for over 10 days. It is hard to manage without range when you have kids.
