Model number : CO60PM The Honeywell 1540 CFM indoor/outdoor evaporative air cooler offers an energy efficient cooling option when the air is hot with low humidity, such as desert areas like the southwestern United States (recommended humidity level is 60% or less for maximum efficiency). Honeywell evaporative air coolers do not require power hungry components like compressors. The low power consumption (only 220 watts) translates into significant savings on energy bills compared to using air conditioners. Just unpack, add water/ice, plug it in, and use. For outdoor use it is weather resistant, UV protected and has an air-throw up to 12 yards. For indoor use, place near an open door or window in an area up to 850 square feet with adequate cross ventilation. For those living in more humid climates, consider portable air conditioning units or window air conditioners for indoor use. This is by far the best potable swamp cooler I have bought (and I’ve done quite a few) this is my 2nd one of this one. the air flow is great, it doesn’t take a lot of juice. We actually bought this one to go on our houseboat and the generator runs it great.

Good Indoor swamp cooler

Ready to go right out of the box. Pushes a lot of air. I had to use ice to cool it down a couple of times. The water loading ( where you pour the water into the unit at) was easily accessible and large enough to put ice cubes into. We had record setting temperatures this year. In Alaska, we generally do not have air conditioners. After some research, I decided on this unit. It is a large unit, cools the air down quickly but not easy to roll around on carpet. Will put moisture into the air quickly. I think this unit is good for home as well as commercial use. Shipping through best buy was great. Product was delivered in 3 days.

Well worth it

Quality in the build, yet lightweight. Easy to maneuver even when filled with water. Powerful fan reaches beyond the rated coverage area and cools nicely. Only downside is that we are using it for indoors, so not using the hose attachment causes it to deplete the water fairly rapidly. Tank will need re-filling about every 6 hours with the fan on medium. Fifteen gallons is a lot to fill by hand, but it probably depletes the same as all evaporative coolers. Also worth noting: Indoor use will cause humidity to rise more than I expected. I Highly recommend that you use it next to an open window and point it towards another slightly open window.

It’s hot during summer here and hotter indoors. But it cools it down for me. Great cooler

Unit is very easy to fill and track water levels. The hose attachment is a huge benefit. We use it for tailgating and it has made a huge difference in our level of comfort

Very big and bulky unit

This unit came like a refrigerator, so expect a large unit and is not that portable unless you like moving large units around. It is good for dry areas and does not cool places that are humid. I had to return it as it did not fit my needs.
