I have owned this microwave for 1.5 years now. As another reviewer said, the buttons are not back lit, so they are very difficult to see. You would think that should be a basic feature, but its not. Now the display no longer works correctly. I can no longer tell the time. For an $800 microwave. Add to this my JennAir Fridge where the lights no longer work (after being serviced twice) and I would tell you to run from this brand. You buy this at your own risk.

Horrible Microwave! Run Away!
Posted by Johnny Miller on Nov 11th 2024
Junk. Third microwave replaced under extended warranty and now Best Buy will not allow people to purchase the extended warranty due to the issues. Very surprised Best Buy sells a product that clearly is losing money and is so poor quality that they won’t back the product with an extended warranty any longer. Shame on JennAir and Best Buy for continuing to sell the same poor quality microwave all these years. Run away as fast as you can!

Jenn Air has been nothing but problems

Bought a new house with all Jenn Air, next to 2 other houses all with jenn air. Weve all had every appliance break within 3 years. Weve all had this microwave break, as well. Avoid Jenn Air. Their customer service is abysmal and their products just cant be considered hugher tier anymore. Im reolacing with other brands, not jenn air.

AVOID, broke in three years, not repairable
Posted by Julie Adams on Oct 16th 2024
Bought this microwave and instal kit at BestBuy. It broke just over three years later and therefore it is not covered by TWO year Jenn Air warranty or one year credit card extension. Now Jenn Air tells me this model is not designed for repair and must be thrown away and repurchased. I’ve outfitted entire kitchens with top line Jenn Air but will never buy another product from them.

A "throwaway" microwave
Posted by Anna Russo on Oct 5th 2024
Don't waste your time or money. We purchased this microwave as part of a kitchen remodel so we would have all appliances from the same manufacturer. It is 2x or 3x the cost of a normal microwave, it is noisy and, after two years, the touchpad is now unresponsive. My appliance repairman said "This is a throw-away microwave. You can't even get parts to repair it." We are changing from a built-in to a counter-top behind a roll down drawer.

Easy to use and energy efficient. Great microwave oven that can be mounted with trim kit as a built-in.

New microwave

Microwave is a replacement for a built in model. Looks and works great, took less than an hour to install even though oven had to be taken out to remove trim kit. Very pleased with product, and service!!

Ok value for a high end microwave

My microwave has gone bad after about 7 years of use. Not sure if that is a good lifespan for a $800 Microwave (I got it for a cheaper price if I remember right). Now the microwave comes on every time I switch on the door which is very dangerous. Additional QA could have had some preventive mechanism to make sure this never happens? Will leave it up to Jenn Air to think about. For the 7 years it lasted, it has worked mostly problem free for our uses. We are not very gentle with the device and still, the doors close with a good feel even now. The feel of the appliance is solid and the unit is relatively heavy. Have not been a great fan of power levels (tried to use it, but could not figure it out or we never noticed a difference). We only used manual timer since predefined settings that we tried didn't work to our satisfaction. Defrost many a times ended with the surface cooked and inside still cold, so we stopped using it. The beep at the end of cooking is loud and irritating and there is no way to control it. Will I buy it again? Don't think so. I think units at less than half the price will deliver better value.
