(Among leading brands based on usable volume.) 44dBA
Provides quiet cleaning without compromising performance, so there's no need to wait to run a wash cycle while entertaining and enjoying meals, even in open-concept kitchens. Advanced clean-water wash system
Uses microfiltration to continuously remove food particles during the wash and rinse cycles and circulates clean water to dishes in all three racks. This allows dirty cookware and delicate glassware to be washed together in the same load. ProWash cycle
Uses sensors to measure soil levels throughout the cycle and adapts wash time and water temperature as needed for tough messes or lighter loads because no two meals or the dishes that result are exactly the same. PrintShield finish
Resists smudges and fingerprints. The specialized coating for stainless steel is easy to clean with just water and a soft cloth, so you can spend more time cooking and less time cleaning up the kitchen. Adjustable middle rack
Adds flexibility to fit tall items, such as a stand mixer bowl. Lower the rack to place large dishes inside, or raise it to make room for platters, pitchers, blender jars and more in the rack below. Durable stainless steel interior
Offers the beauty and benefits of stainless steel inside the dishwasher. It resists streaks, stains, and odors while retaining heat to help improve drying. SatinGlide Max Rails in third and middle racks
Allow racks to move effortlessly, even when fully loaded. Adjustable rows in middle and lower racks
Fold down to make room for dishes in a variety of shapes and sizes, such as roasting pans, serving bowls, colanders, and Dutch ovens. Two stemware holders in middle rack
Secure wine glasses along the side of the rack to prevent them from moving around during the wash cycle. Express wash cycle
Cleans in less time, so you always have the dishes you need while prepping, cooking, and entertaining. Sani Rinse option
Eliminates most food soil bacteria Top controls
The controls are tucked away on top of the dishwasher door for a clean look to match your kitchen style. An indicator light on the front of the door changes colors to subtly display cycle progress. Dishwasher hookup kit is sold separately and is not included. Required for installation:
All dishwasher purchases require a dishwasher hookup kit be purchased from Best Buy. Without a hookup kit, your installation will not be completed. Find a hookup kit in the accessories section on this page.

Kitchenaid d/w is Better than Hoity Toity Brands!
Posted by Zachary Dalton on Dec 8th 2024
This d/w is great. Only compliments from us. People mentioning noise problems need to pony up another $800 for the quietest d/w's on the planet. At 44db, I can tell you it's quieter than the Whirlpool (same parent company). We had a new Whirlpool in another home, rated at 47db. And we could barely hear THAT Whirlpool d/w! No pump noises from either brand. The d/w pumping water into the sink drain may cause a little noise & bother some very sensitive people. BUT that would be the case regardless of any brand/model you bought. Just plug the drains while it's running! I ABSOLUTELY love this redesigned 3rd tier, Free Flex rack. It allows for largest glasses UNDERNEATH it + ability to lay cooking utensils AND small bowls in the 3rd rack; plus shelves are adjustable. IF you wash a lot of wine glasses and want stem guides, this model only has two. That's not an issue for us. AND the utensil handle holders -- you drop utensil handles into guides on the utensil caddy -- are great AND of different widths. One person here complained BECAUSE the handle guides were different sizes. No problem by us! The varied guide sizes accommodate different size handles!!! If you have THAT many utensils to wash, just unlatch the guides and use the holder the conventional way. That OR install a SECOND dishwasher -- you need it. This model offers enough settings to handle quick washes all the way up to really dirty crap! It has an enhanced dry cycle, if needed. And it gives 2-4-8 hour delay options. Some people want to set by an hourly basis. It might be nice, but I see it as overkill and probably a much more expensive "add-on" in the highest level hoity toity washers. LOL. I think you be happy BUT we always buy the extended warranties from someone (this time, Best Buy). Frying a circuit board is pretty easy today, considering the power being sent to your house is not always conditioned well. The extended warranty and a $29 appliance circuit breaker -- it turns itself back on when power is restored, but only after the power is steadied out -- are probably worth it today! Happy washing!

No more PRE- and RE-wash. Third rack magic!
Posted by Douglas Wilson on Dec 1st 2024
The third rack is a game changer. It seems to clear my counters of dirty dishes- this washer holds much more than my old washer and cleans beautifully. I’m finding I don’t need to spend as much time pre-cleaning prior to washing which saves water and time. It is as quiet as it professes and has been consistently trouble free. A little more money up front but I am pleased with the quality and performance so far! It feels a little fun to use because my old washer was so fussy and requires so much Pre-wash and are-wash, which is NOT a problem with this washer and this brings me joy.

I absolutely LOVE this dishwasher! I am very pleased with the THREE racks, how well is cleans my dishes, and especially how QUIET it is! I’m sure we will have this appliance for many years but, when it does need to be replaced, we will definitely purchase another KitchenAid from Best But!

Quiet and Looks Great
Posted by Clayton Peterson on Nov 10th 2024
Our KitchenAid dishwasher is the best! It looks great in our kitchen with all of our other major appliances by KitchenAid and it runs very quiet. It’s difficult to determine whether or not it is even running because it is so quiet. The sisters are cleaned thoroughly. The third rack is extremely useful and being able to adjust the middle rack is helpful as well. We are very happy with our purchase!

I did a lot of research and looked at all dishwasher. I kept coming back to this one because of how the third rack was designed. It's even better then I thought it would be. I've had it for two months now and use it very day. When we first got it wife wanted to set the timmer because she thought it would be to noisey why we were watching TV. I said you won't need the timmer. She was amazed how quiet it. Love love love this dishwasher. I tell everyone how great it is.

WE LOVE OUR KITCHEN AID DISHWASHER!
Posted by Anita Jones on Nov 4th 2024
We love our KitchenAid dishwasher! We had one when we lived in North Carolina and ended up moving into a house with a Bosch in Virginia. The Bosch even though it was very quiet to not have a very good loading capacity. We ended up going to Best buy and picking up another KitchenAid. The top rack allows us to put many small things in that ordinarily take up space on the regular racks. The regular racks are set up in a way to be adjustable for any load we have.

Great Dishwahser
Posted by David Johnson on Oct 26th 2024
We had a Keitnaid dishwasher installed by the previous owner. It worked great until my son started jumping on the door when it opened and broke the springs. Even though it was still working, the door would slam down, which was dangerous for the kids. So we decide to replace it and purchase this unit. We had it for two weeks so far, and we love it. Now we have the 3rd rack and can put chopsticks on the top shelf. The installation was fast and great, and On-time; the dishes were clear and dry. Very good experience so far.
