Maytag - Washer/Dryer Laundry Pedestal with Storage Drawer - Metallic Slate

I've never been a fan of front load washers because I hate having to bend over and basically get on the floor to throw my clothes in. With our new house, we had to have a front load washer/dryer so, I made sure that we got these pedestals. I no longer mind the front load washer. Plus having the extra storage drawers built in has really come in handy. We store our detergent/softener in one and cleaning supplies in the other. In my eyes, these are a must. Having the washer/dryer elevated makes all the difference.

Great Pedestal for the Maytag Dryer! It saves a lot of bending and this helps people like me with back pain, It is very roomy, it has plenty of room to store your detergent and softener. I even store my Iron and other supplies on it.

Connected easily, works well, rubber padding limits extra noise compared to other brands.

The pedestals are fantastic and essential, in my opinion. They are roomy and make the front loaders high enough that you don't have to bend down each time you transfer from the washer to the dryer. They store lots of items, so we can keep them off of the tops of the machines -- looks nicer. That said, however, we had difficulty with the installations. The gas dryer installers (certified in gas) came without the pedestal. The washing machine truck came with both pedestals, but they couldn't install it because they said the gas dryer has to be turned on its side, so we had to schedule another appointment for the gas man to return. When he did, he said all that had to be done was lift it up and then attach it when lying on the floor. After all of that, it made a loud clicking sound when closing it because it was sagging in the middle (manufacturing defect) and kept hitting the bottom lip of the dryer. We finally had a third person come and identify the problem. And then a fourth time to have the new pedestal installed. Whew. Now it's fine and we're happy.
