I enjoy the ease of using this unit, from the faster response time to get a pan hot to the ease of cleanup on the flat top surface. The oven functions well for an electric but i have yet to try out the bread proof, Broil or self clean functions.

Very nice but you need heavy pans to boil fast

Posted by Leslie Moses on Oct 21st 2024

Sale price on this is a great deal. I bought one open box with service contract and good idea because the cooking elements float under the glass and had shifted causing the numerals to misalign. The got it fixed after a month waiting for parts which turned out to be unnecessary - taking a star off for bad design that allows that to misalign. I also got a free Samsung range hood which unfortunately took many months to come into stock (deal expired) What I love is fast boiling, stovetop is cool except the burner that's on, fewer worries about leaving a burner on. What I don't love is that grease & dirt show more so I have to clean more often and the SmartThings app won't do anything without being there to push the Smart button on the range so I can't preheat the oven from the store. Even if a pan is magnetic it may not work efficiently unless it's highly ferrous - aka heavy. Huge difference in boil times. There's a secret menu to test pans. Press & hold Timer and lightbulb together for 3 seconds. Bottom of digits will light up. Put on pan and turn on burner. 00 means not compatible, 01 is inefficient, 02 is most efficient. Credit to Samsung for offering a free 10 piece circulon induction set which works great. There are more buzzing sounds but they're very quiet and not a big deal compared to the exhaust hood. I was really excited about fast water boiling. It is fast, but honestly I don't notice much of a difference in real cooking because that's only a small part of the process. Temp control is better and I prefer to deep fry on it because of that control. The top looks great but shows dirt much worse than my white porcelain gas stove so I have to clean it more frequently. The cool top effectively adds counter space because it's cool all around the burner. Don't actually touch the surface after cooking because you're still going to burn yourself despite those videos showing people placing their hand down for a fraction of a second. Oven works great and after adjusting the temp it's spot on. There's another secret menu to adjust temp - hold settings for 3 seconds, press up/down to select 1, press start/set, press up/down to select temp adjustment, start/set to save. I miss convection on my high end range. The high tech SmartThings and Bluetooth are a disappointment. I thought it would talk to the BT exhaust hood but only the higher end ranges do that. SmartThings remote control is a great idea but you can only see what burners are on or if the door was opened. You need to be there in person to turn on the Smart Control before you can remotely turn on the oven.

    Love the induction cooktop!

Posted by Dana Stewart on Oct 8th 2024

I love the cooktop due to it rapidly heating pans and pots faster than gas or standard electric stoves. Also, when you shutoff a burner, it’s similar to shutting off a gas burner; boiling stops almost immediately. The oven is good, however, because it’s no better or worse than other ovens I’ve had. This is why I gave it 4 stars.

    Fantastic Cooktop, so-so oven

Posted by Kerry Cooper on Oct 5th 2024

Induction cooktop works fantastic, truly amazing however the oven is just ok. The oven for some reasons needs a rather loud fan running on the unit whenever it's turned on, you also need to be really careful not to adjust the temperatures with anything in there as if it's any kind of a "preheat" temperature change it full engages the broiler element automatically. The oven however when you take into account the odd preheat functionality does work well, maintains accurate temperature and is well insulated. The one stand out feature this has that I do really like is the child safety lock is a real child safety lock, it disables everything on the control panel including knobs and even locks the oven door.

    Good Range

Posted by Abigail Wise on Oct 5th 2024

Good range. Easy to clean. I wish you didn't have to use the arrows to set a temperature. There is no number pad to type in the temp to set due to the limited space of the panel being a slide in. You can use the app, but then you have to get your phone out. So you're better off just hitting the arrows 15 times.

    Good Range / Very Happy

Posted by Nicole Norton on Sep 30th 2024

Very happy with the switch from gas to induction. This range has most of what I need. I wish the simmer capability was better because #1 is too low and #2 is too high. I wish it had half settings.

    Amazing cooktop, senstive touch panel

Posted by Anna Hall on Sep 13th 2024

I must say i was nervous making the switch to induction cooktop. I got this model afer having coil electric elements. Which i hated. These are smooth top, simple to clean. Touch cotrols arent thr best. Yoy can stand close to it and itll set of with a slight lean(not skin touch just any touch force) oven works great. Heats up wuick. I wish it has fit more flush in my home. Otherwise its a great upgrade for induction alone.
