4 Compact workhorse for small jobs.
Posted by George Pearson on Dec 8th 2024
Shark - WANDVAC System Pet Dry Bagless Cordless Summary: Compact workhorse for small jobs. Pros: * Workhorse. This vacuum has a surprising amount of suction power. It works well. * Vortex tunnel dustbin accumulates dust/matter efficiently and makes cleaning a snap. * Stand. The charging stand is nice. It's nice not to have to reach for the charging cord and find a place where the device won't fall over. * Easy to use. Use of this device is pretty simple and intuitive. * Battery seems appropriately sized for the power and longevity of the unit. Cons: * Stand. The stand is also its weakest property. Why doesn't it have a storage slot for all of the attachments instead of just one? * Stand. It would have been nice for there to be a wall-mount option for the stand. I will be using it primarily as a wand vac because of its size. So, it would be nice to just "hang it up." Unfortunately, this means that to charge it, I'll need to transform it to full vacuum mode. Use: This unit is a nice size. If you have a small space, this vacuum may meet your needs. I have a corgi that sheds quite a bit whether he is well groomed or not. Using this in wand mode with the rotor attachment makes cleaning tight spots a breeze.

1 Good suction, but short life and some weird stuff.
Posted by Shawn Vargas on Nov 27th 2024
For this much money, it should do more. I've been trying out a lot lately so I feel pretty qualified. My first official writing review on a vacuum. I am doing it because I had no idea how many issues with cordless vacs there are, even the expensive ones. So I'll try to post mine online from now on. The suction is great on the main unit and I was able to vacuum my 3 main rooms, but then it just died after maybe 15 minutes. I didn't even use the blast feature (if it even has one). But, the main thing is the attachments are terrible. It picked up no cat hair on my couch and there is literally no room on the stand for the brush attachment. How did they not think of this? It's so weird. It's not worth it. And yes, the dust cup is very very very small. The handle is not comfortable to twist around the rooms, even though you'd think it would be because of the design. It really hurt my wrist. There is no light. I could keep going, but this should be enough.

4 Have some thoughts
Posted by Donna Arnold DVM on Nov 14th 2024
I have had this for about a month now and I do have some things to say about it. First off, the pros: Very east to use and set up. I can't tell you how nice it is to just pick this up and use it WITHOUT having to plug it in. Just pick it up and go. I love how east it is to take the top part off for when I have to get under areas the vaccum can't. I love how easy it is to empty the vacuum out. Simply press a button and release the dirt. No dust flying everywhere. Cons- The battery life is atrocious. I can't vacuum my 1200 sq home all the way without it dying. It is very annoying when you are all set on cleaning and getting it done quick and then to have the battery die and wait an hour or more before it charges back up. The dust area is very small. Some people may love this, because the don't want dust flying everywhere, and I love that to, however, the area is so small that after just a little vacuuming, the vacuum suck is really bad and you have to dump the dust. The last thing is, the add ons for the hand part of the vacuum does not connect to the body of the vacuum, so you have to hold them in your hand, pocket or walk over to the charging station and grab it. Minor annoyance but felt like it needed to be said. Overall, a great vacuum for small areas and little cleanups for everyday use, not great for a big clean day.

4 Powerful for Cordless Pickup
Posted by Christina Stout on Nov 11th 2024
The Shark Cordless Sweeper is a very lightweight yet powerful sweeper. It was very easy to assemble and charge. The charging station sits on the floor and is about a foot square. The upright piece that you charge the unit with stands up on the base. I would be afraid of it breaking if it got tripped over or knocked over but if you keep it in a corner or behind something it would be fine. The suction worked wonderful on pet hair. It was very easy to use on carpeted steps, carpet and tile floors. It is perfect for quick cleanups anywhere around the house. It was easy to empty but seems hard to clean out after emptying. I think a removable cup would be nice. You have to hold the whole sweeper over the garbage to empty it. Came with 2 attachments that got into the creases of the steps and corners but only one connects to the base unit. I would recommend this sweeper. I would have given five stars if it had a removable compartment for the debris it collected so it could be cleaned out and a sturdier charging stand.

2 Find something better
Posted by Isabel David on Nov 9th 2024
This is my first Shark cordless vacuum and I'll have to say it's been a pretty disappointing product. I've loved their plug in vacuums and have owned a couple of them with no issues, but this one seems pretty cheap and not very good The biggest issues are that the suction isn't that great causing difficulty picking things up. You have to go over it multiple times Whether it's carpet or hardwood or tile. The other issue that I have is that I am constantly trying to clean out the filter which is difficult to clean as it quickly affects the ability to suction up debris/dust. This was one of the cheapest options for the shark vacuums so maybe that what you get for the lower end vacuums but I just had higher hopes and now it's too late to return it. The good things I would say are the convenience of having a vacuum you can just grab and it's ready to go with out having to find an outlet or deal with a cord. The wand is also nice since you can take it with you where ever such as the car and works pretty decently. Overall, I would pass on this product and find something better

I really love this great cordless vacuum! The accessories are excellent and it has a long lasting battery. Easy to use and empty. I especially like that it can also be used as a hand-held!

4 Excellent Maneuverability and Decent Suction
Posted by Tyler Novak on Nov 1st 2024
I've been testing the Shark Wandvac System Pet Dry Bagless Cordless 3-in-1 Stick Vacuum for a few days. Overall, I think it is a good vacuum for a quick clean or touch-up but not that great if you intend to use it as a whole home, deep cleaning vacuum. It's best feature is that it is more maneuverable than any other stick vac that I have tested. The Wandvac was easy to assemble and disassemble. Everything just snaps together in a fool-proof way. I found there is a little learning curve in figuring out which latch opens the canister, and which one separates the attachments. However, I only made that mistake once. It charges quickly and doesn’t take up much space in my kitchen. As for performance, it has about as much suction that you would expect out of a portable hand vac. Which means I won't be using it as a whole house cleaning solution. When it comes to picking up German shepherd dog hair, it did a decent job and there was no hair stuck in the brush. However, because of the small debris canister, I found myself having to empty it out frequently. With those limitations in mind, I found that it has become my go to vacuum for cleaning the ceiling fan, stairs, tables, lamps, and the entertainment center. I also used it to clean my cars and it did a decent job there too.

4 Lightweight, great value
Posted by Mckenzie Harris on Oct 23rd 2024
The Shark WANDVAC cordless stick vacuum is perfect for quick cleanup with its lightweight and thoughtful design that transforms from a stick vacuum to a hand vac with ease. While no replacement for an upright, the WANDVAC provides surprising suction (and noise) for its diminished size, cleaning hard floors and low pile area rugs while keeps the self cleaning brush roller hair free. The minuscule dust bin is oddly designed to flip out or down depending on how the WANDVAC is oriented, leading to at least a few dust ejections on the floor until you master it. Shark also placed the button to empty the WANDVAC adjacent to the power, further increasing the odds an unsuspecting spouse may inadvertently empty the bin prematurely. I also found the pre filter in the dust bin had to be manually cleaned often, requiring you to remove hair and impacted dirt from the mesh cone. Another downside is the WANDVAC will not stay upright on its own, Shark designed it to stay on the included charging dock. Fortunately we had space for it near an outlet where it would be out of sight, though I imagine that may be an issue for some. Once you overcome these obstacles, the WANDVAC is a breeze to use at under 6 pounds including the base. The WANDVAC is very nimble and easily pivots on hard floors with one hand, getting under furniture and around chairs. With one hand, you can detach either the motorized base or the extension wand leaving an even lighter 2 pound hand vac. The WANDVAC really excels at edging or even cleaning hard to reach places by not having the weight of a larger cordless vacuum. Even considering the shortfalls, the Shark WANDVAC makes a great choice for an additional floor cleaner or primary for someone who has a single bedroom apartment . I still feel the WANDVAC is a good value but it isn’t for everyone.
