1 Viking and best buy experience the worse nightmare
Posted by Christine Davis on Jul 8th 2024
I purchased this viking refrigerator in July 2020. Delivery and installation of Best Buy was terrible the declined to install any appliances due to difficulty of going up 2 steps in my home. They left my appliance Purchased in my garage. I waited a week for them to install my refrigerator. Now the refrigerator after have the refrigerator installed nothing was wrong at first. Until water started leak .I first thought it was a dishwasher which is next to our fridge. But soon learned that it was a fridge that has a plastic pan that collects water it was cracked and leaking, still waiting as of October 2020 for replacement, Im been told it on back order currently feb 8, 2020. Also our ice marker new made ice a-lot of ice It was basically always empty , we so confused as to why. We called viking to check out, they sent out 3 party company to Diagnostician didn't mention the freezer was not cold enough. He had mentioned also that takes up to five days to fill up with ice and This fridge Raiders are not designed to make a lot of ice. Few days later the ice maker stop making ice all together.Don't know why.I have to buy ice at the supermarket every time i needed ice. Also handle of the ice maker is broken i just glued on poor quality.

2 Disappointing
Posted by Cynthia Jacobs on Jul 3rd 2024
After waiting over 4 months, the unit arrived and was finally installed. It works well, but the drawer configuration is different than the store model and not nearly as efficient (two half drawers instead of a single drawer the entire width thereby causing one to 'lose' valuable space). the freezer side also makes an intermittent but loud humming noise (65 dB) and Viking is replacing it (after another 4+ month wait)

4 Quality could be better

At this price point I express better quality. Everything functions great, but one of the door Dairy bins was defective and one of the door stops broke during normal use.

4 Great size and shelving space.
Posted by Mary Chavez on Jun 19th 2024
I do not like the way they split the drawers in half horizontally. they should have made some of them wider and left some narrower. My old sub zero which is the same 48" size had the drawers going all the way across. Viking's 42 " refrigerator has the drawers going all the way across.

3 Nice but issues.
Posted by Joseph Cook on Jun 12th 2024
It took 15 months to get the refrigerator, after the install, the Ice maker didn’t work, repair man came out pretty quick but the ice just doesn’t fill up fast enough (very slow ice maker) Nice refrigerator but for $12,000 you’d expect a bit more. Also the unit should definitely have a bigger ice bin!!! Definitely not worth $12,000!!!!

5 Upgrade to a New Viking!
Posted by Donald Lopez on Jun 10th 2024
After 18 years it was time to replace our original Viking Refrigerator. It was great to have the new features and it fits right in the same spot as the old one! Cooling and Freezing more consistent than older model. Vacuum Seal better as well. LED Lighting a nice upgrade!
