4 Washer
Posted by Gregory Riddle on Oct 23rd 2024
I like the washer because it is huge inside! The only issue I have with it is that it seems that if you don’t press the fabric softener button it doesn’t use the fabric softener. Maybe I just haven’t learned to use it yet, but that is my only complaint

I woukd give zero stars if I could. Bought this model Whirlpool washer in November 2023 and it stopped spinning 6 months later. Called for repair under Whirlpool warranty because it’s less than a year old. Whirlpool couldn’t find a Whirlpool technician in our service area so they basically told me “Find your own service person, pay out of pocket, follow the email instuctions that we mail to you and we’ll reimburse you up to $200.” I found a service company, who is great and who I’ve used for other appliances in the past, and they said electronic control board is bad. Unfortunately, they couldn’t locate a replacement control board because they were showing out of stock, even through Whirlpool directly. So I had to call Whirlpool again. They said they’d need up to two weeks to locate and ship a new electronic control board. It finally arrived two weeks later, then I had to call our same service company and wait another week for them to come out to replace the control board. That was yesterday. Did three loads of laundry, and the machine worked. This morning, started a load, and its not spinning. Of course Whirlpool is not open over the weekend, so I have to wait until Monday morning to call. In summary, I paid over $900 for the unit and an EXTENDED warranty through Best Buy, I’m out over $200 in repairs that have not been reimbursed yet, and I have no working machine. Not to mention the money we’ve spent at the laundromat over the past 4 weeks and the time I’ve spent on hold with Whirlpool. On top of all this, the machine is loud, makes a strange agitating sound that you can hear through a closed door, and the loads become unbalanced when you wash anything heavier than regular clothing. It’s honestly the worst machine I’ve ever owned.

4 Okay for the price

Does the job, you can fit a good amount of clothes into one load. the only thing I don’t like is that there’s no screen to keep up with the cycle time, and is a bit loud when spinning at the end of the cycle.

5 HomeBuilder

We’ve had our new washer for a couple of months now and it is fantastic. 7 people in the house with a baby due anytime now. With the capacity of this washer there is no doubt we can make it thru all the the laundry now. And I was hesitant to move to an HE with questions of how thoroughly they clean. It took a minute to acclimate to seeing so little water but it’s thoroughly cleaning and with so many in the house the efficiency is magnified. The only complaint that concerned me on his unit was about noise. It does make some noise, however given the scale of the tub there is little space left to insulate. In order to fit in the standard footprint in the home something has to give. In this case the sheer volume it’s capable of outweighs the slightly higher operational noise (at least in our home)

5 This replaced our 25 year old Whirlpool Washer
Posted by Victoria Cannon on Sep 17th 2024
This replaced our 25 yo Whirlpool washer. It took a few weeks to adjust to it, but we like it. Our old washer had an adgitator, and this one is impellor, so it does take time to adjust to the difference. We've had it 2 weeks and about 10 loads, and we feel it cleans our clothes well so far. We are still figuring out which setting to use for certain loads + deep water feature. The time it takes to wash clothes is twice as long as the old washer, it now takes about 50 minutes to wash one load. The quick feature is 30, but you can't put a lot in the washer on that cycle, or the clothes don't get wet. We also purchased the Best Buy Plus membership and the washer was reduced $20 for July 4th sale, and we did get a refund for that amount. If it goes on sale again within a year for a lower amount than we were refunded, we will get an additional refund. We do recommend this washing machine. This is the only model we've had in 25 years, so we can't compare to newer models. I do miss the buzzer that tells you when the cycle has finished. This washer does the jig in the spin cycle, our 25 yo model didn't, but the old one was terribly unbalanced and created a very loud knocking noise when the clothes weren't even in the tub, and we had to always stop the cycle and redistribute the clothes. We don't have to do that in this one, and we are enjoying not having a loud knocking noise and having to redistribute the clothes, so we are fine with the jig.

4 Tough and quick.
Posted by Brittany Washington on Sep 13th 2024
It does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Came from a Samsung and will never buy another Samsung ever. It is obvious that the build quality here it’s a lot higher. I see a lot less plastic and more steel glass. With a four-year-old it’s nice to know that the clothes come out clean and the cycles are quick. It also doesn’t contain a lot of the modern conveniences such as an LED screen or app companion, but I’m OK with that because it saved me money and it’s one less thing to go wrong.

4 Matte washer

Love the matte finish and the censoring feature of how long the load will take. So far no complaints overall it seems durable. Love the open top concept so you can see clothes as it washes
