5 Quiet, no dust, and invisible mist
Posted by Dylan Cameron on Nov 26th 2024
My house gets pretty dry in the wintertime and requires us to have a few humidifiers. This one is pretty nice as its pretty small but holds about a gallon of water. I set the level to 50% and have it in the bedroom. It usually lasts about 24 hours before it needs to be refilled. Refilling this humidifier is by far the easiest one I have ever had. All you have to do is turn off the unit and pour the water through the grates on top to refill the tank at the bottom. Then power it back on and you're all set for another 24 hours. I also like the built-in filter as it removes the impurities in the water that cause the white dust that other humidifiers give off. The app is very nice as it allows you to make any adjustments to the machine and gives you humidity data for the day, week, and month. This information is nice to have but not really sure what to do with it. The app will also notify you if the humidifier runs out of water. The only issue I have had with the unit is sometimes after refilling it still registers as empty. This just requires turning it back off and waiting a few seconds and turning it back on. Not a huge issue, just not sure if I'm doing something wrong. Overall this is a nice humidifier and runs very quietly with invisible mist. Having this in my bedroom has been a game changer with the quality of my sleep.

5 The Best Humidifier Ever!
Posted by Debra Curtis DVM on Nov 24th 2024
This humidifier is truly one of the best I've ever owned. Easy top filling feature, so quiet and you can use plain tap water with no white dust residue. Match it up to the Blueair app (not needed if you don't wish to) and you're all set for taking care of the dryness in your home. I use mine every night and in this cold weather it's a must have. You won't be disappointed.

4 Good humidifier but requires wifi and an account
Posted by Paul Anderson on Nov 21st 2024
The last few winters have been rough in regards to dry air. As the air would get dryer, sleeping became problematic as the dryness affected our breathing. We also had dry skin too. Last year, I picked up a generic cheap air humidifier; and while it did moisten the air, it required distilled water or our HEPA filter readings would go off the charts for pollution/particulates. Even with distilled water, our readings would elevate a bit as all it did was pump out some cool mist with no filtration or air quality controls. This year I decided to give the Blueair H35i a try as I needed to address several concerns. Most pressing was cleaner mist production followed by valid smart controls and real data feedback and lastly being able to use tap water to save on costs. Setup is very straight forward. All you do is download the app, set it up, turn on the unit, have your phone's Bluetooth find your H35i, pair, configure and off you go. The manual has a QR code to point you right to the app you need and provides very clear, concise instructions. One thing I really like is the way to refill your H35i. You can literally carefully pour it right through the top grills if you wish or easily lift off the one piece top, pop the filter out and the bottom has an easy to use flip up handle to carry the basin to your sink and fill it that way if you so like. The display is large and bright with a lot of good info and the smart app keeps you informed about filter condition, humidity levels and more. You can set it to auto settings or manually set everything including fan controls. You can adjust your desired level of humidity with 30%-50% being ideal. When I first turned it on and it ran for a few minutes it let me know my humidity level was ~25% which made sense as the air has been painfully dry the last week or so. Within a few hours (if that), our modest domicile (~1600sqft) had climbed from ~25% to 41% at last check and I can already feel the difference in the air. It is just a very straight forward setup and use and miles ahead of the bargain bin model we tried to use last year that ended up costing us more in the long run as we had to keep filling it up with distilled water. My other HEPA filter which reads air quality has remained at a solid *0* (which means near perfect) even as the air has become much more comfortable and moisturized with the H35i. The H35i does use a filter replacement system so when needing replacing, replacement filters are about $20USD. Replacement intervals will vary based on settings, air conditions and desired humidity. No product is perfect though. I wish the power adapter was universal versus a barrel connector and came with a much longer power cord for placement. Another complaint would be the need to connect your H35i to wifi even if all you want to do is interface with it via Bluetooth only. My last complaint is you need to create an account with Blueair to use their app. Besides these three complaints, this is a substantial upgrade over the one we used last year and is priced well enough. If you need to increase your humidity levels, this is a solid choice.

5 Super Easy to Use
Posted by Mary Wells on Nov 14th 2024
I prefer evaporative humidifiers because they don't leave white dust all over the house, even with distilled water. This one is exceptionally easy to use, fill, and manage in the app. On speeds one and two it is very quite, as well. And it is virtually silent in night mode.

4 Great Performance, Lackluster Tech
Posted by David Steele on Nov 5th 2024
If you live in a dry climate, odds are you own or are shopping for a humidifier. BlueAir’s line of home air quality products has expanded rapidly in the last few years, now encompassing a suite of devices including air purifiers, humidifiers, de-dusters, sanitizers, and combinations of these plus portable solutions for use in automobiles and RVs. The BlueAir InvisibleMist humidifier may look more like their Blue air purifier with its cylindrical design, and it certainly mimics them with a forced-air fan design through a round filter, but its humidification works a treat. Sadly though, the smart features were clearly not a high priority, causing BlueAir to miss the mark on what’s otherwise an excellent humidifier. - Unboxing and Setup The Blueair InvisibleMist humidifier comes pre-assembled and ready to run. The included user manual lacks a quick-start guide but QR codes provide links to video setup and further resources, such as filter ordering information. Setup took just a couple minutes - unbox, remove packing material, and fill the bucket before powering on. My unit did not detect that the water bucket was filled at first, but this was remedied with a quick removal and reinstallation of the water bucket, tightening to click. No app connection is needed for the humidifier to begin working. Once plugged in, the control display at the top of the humidifier takes about 10 seconds to reach standby, and can then be powered on. Adjustment buttons on top include fan speed and automatic humidification, and setting either will start the humidifier working. The top display shows the current detected humidity level, or the target humidity level when cycling through the automatic options. - Humidifying Living in a northern state, the winter months bring incredibly dry air that chaps lips and dries skin - as I write this review in another room from where I placed the InvisibleMist, my hygrometer is reading under 30% indoors on a 30F/-1C day. My fiance and I had been using a basic humidifier in our master bedroom to combat the dryness while we slept, and the results were just OK. Just moments after starting up the InvisibleMist, we could already feel a dramatic improvement in air quality in our approximately 180 square foot master bedroom. The humidifier’s even dispersion, forcing air through a moist filter works incredibly quickly to hit its set humidity target, going from 30% relative humidity to 50% in under 5 minutes using automatic mode with a 55% RH target. The fan was running at a high speed initially but stepped down to its minimum once humidity approached 50%, and it maintained 50-55% humidity from there forward. The noise the fans generate at full speed is a bit loud, but once stepped down to its low setting it’s virtually inaudible. Even the action of the water pump is so quiet that I’m able to sleep just feet from the humidifier without it waking me up during the night. Impressive stuff. Leaving the humidifier to its devices, it used about a half gallon per day to maintain the 55% RH target in the master bedroom in the house where 30% was the average. Though it’s on the higher side for consumption and smaller side for tank capacity (we’re used to 2+ gallon humidifiers), the ease of refilling offsets this entirely. - Refilling & Maintenance Perhaps the best feature about the Blueair humidifier is just how easy it is to refill. Though you can refill the humidifier using the bucket like most other humidifiers, the design of the InvisibleMist lets you refill by simply pouring water into the top of the humidifier. The instruction manual states to do this once the power is off, because you’re pouring directly over the fan blades and into its housing, shaped as a collection funnel that will drain the water directly into the tank. You’ll definitely want to double check the power is off - on my first refill I didn’t realize the fan was still spinning (since it was that quiet) and the resulting splash made quite the frightening racket. Pay mind! BlueAir recommends cleaning the unit once a week with a mild detergent, as the water tank is not airtight. If you’re using tap water this would be advisable; however, I run my humidifiers exclusively with distilled water so a more modest cleaning interval (monthly) should be acceptable. Per Blueair, the InvisibleMist filter lasts about six months before replacement is recommended. - Smart Features / App Integration This is where the InvisibleMist humidifier loses quite a few points. For starters, the InvisibleMist can only connect to 2.4Ghz WiFi networks, indicating a very cheap radio was used to get the device connected to the Blueair app. I had to enable a 2.4GHz network on my router as mine (and most modern routers) default to the 5GHz standard. It was a bad enough start…which only got worse once the downloaded Blueair app requires you to create/use a Blueair account instead of single sign-on from any major service. Lord only knows what’s in those privacy terms I didn’t have hours to read. The Blueair app does allow fine control and monitoring of the InvisibleMist humidifier, which is handy for setting specific humidity targets and seeing historic trends. That’s about the extent of its usefulness, however, as the InvisibleMist does not integrate with Apple, Amazon, or Google smart home suites, and instead relies entirely on the app to perform similar functions including geo-fencing for automatic start and stop. Seeing as that feature requires the Blueair app to run continuously in the background in addition to the Blueair account requirement, I did not enable this. Needless to say, the app integration is extremely weak here and feels like both an afterthought and data grab. I don’t recommend using any of the smart features and instead treating the humidifier as a standalone device, as it still performs admirably in that regard. - Bottom Line Though its afterthought-caliber smart features are a major disappointment, the BlueAir InvisibleMist humidifier does an excellent job at its core function, keeping small to medium sized rooms comfortably humid. The ability to refill without disassembling or removing a bucket is a major quality of life improvement over other designs, and it’s earned a permanent place in my master bedroom for more comfortable sleep in the winter months. It’s also priced somewhat reasonably compared to other humidifiers, and so long as you’re good without the smart features, the InvisibleMist still comes recommended!

5 Helps winter dryness - easy to maintain
Posted by Gloria Hill on Nov 1st 2024
Everything came well packaged. The user manual is easy to read and has good illustrations that show each component and the Control Panel indicators. The app was easy to download the device was easy to connect. At first the indicator and app said low water level, even though it was filled to the max line, but I just lifted the top and put it back on, then turned on again, and it registered that there was water in it. I have not had any other issues. Filling the unit is easy - either through the top or you can disassemble and fill the tank directly. Very convenient options. The unit breaks down easily and can be cleaned with soap and water quickly. It also does not take up very much room - fits on a small bookcase in my bedroom. You can set the humidity level, and the fan speed, either on the unit itself or on the app. The navigation for both is simple. The unit is very quiet unless you put the fan on max, then it has a little noise (to be expected). The best part is that it does the job by putting moisture in the air - particularly during the winter. I've noticed my eyes are not dry and my nose does not bleed.

5 BlueAir H35i Humidifier ~ NONE FINER THAN THIS ONE
Posted by Ashley Flores on Oct 24th 2024
I was so pleased to receive this humidifier as it's now our cold season and my skin gets dry. Upon opening there is an app code to scan which takes you to the BlueAir website. Once signed up you will be able to get accurate humidity tracking, custom scheduling and filter lifetime monitoring. Since I already own a BlueAir air purifier I had the app installed and just had to add this as another device. It will only connect via 2.4 GHz which it did right away without issue after I assembled it. One wonderful feature is I can easily add 0.9 gallons of tap water by pouring in through the top circular opening. You can remove the whole top area and then you have a handled fill bucket but I definitely prefer simply adding water through the top ~ very convenient! You must be sure not to overfill past the MAX line. Also line up the 2 dots you'll see ~ one on the bottom half and one on the top as then you know it's put together properly. There is a black round touch panel on the top that tells you the current room humidity, 3 fan speeds, an A for Auto Mode (which I use all the time), Night Mode, Display Lock, WiFi symbol, Auto Dry Mode Indicator and the STANDBY/ON symbol. The Auto Dry feature is really great because after you turn it off the blue wick filter is wet from usage so this humidifier runs about a 2 hour air dryer to keep the filter from becoming moldy. There is a very informative and easy to understand paper manual included so no need to hit up the internet just to find out how to use it either. Tells you what each part is and how to put everything together. On the display there is also a Water Low indicator and a Filter Reset indicator which turns on as needed. I have been using this humidifier every night for a week and I absolutely love it. Super quiet meaning no disturbing noise. You can set your desired humidity level on the app from 30-80% but I leave mine on the default of 50%. I used to wake up with a dry mouth and nose, sometimes itchy dry eyes. Since using this they have literally disappeared. There is virtually NO messy white dust on my dresser anywhere and this BlueAir definitely lives up to how it's advertised. I seriously would not want to be without it in the cold months of Wisconsin! I cannot find one negative thing to say about this product. I highly HIGHLY recommend its purchase! You'll feel much better if living in dry air conditions. It's outstanding in every way. BlueAir you have a winner here!

5 Perfect for Toddler Rooms
Posted by Christopher Bell on Oct 23rd 2024
----- SUMMARY ----- Verdict: The Blueair InvisibleMist Humidifier has been a fantastic addition to my daughter's room, and I highly recommend it to other parents, especially those with small to medium-sized rooms. It effectively combats dryness without any of the downsides I've experienced with other humidifiers, like white dust or noisy operation. I get about 48 hours of runtime before needing to refill the tank, which is plenty for my needs. The top-fill design, dishwasher-safe tank, and child lock make it incredibly practical for families with young children. And with the added convenience of the Blueair app, I can easily monitor and control the humidity levels from anywhere. If you're looking for a safe, effective, and user-friendly humidifier, the Blueair InvisibleMist is a top-notch choice. Pros: - Effective humidification - Quiet operation - Safe and child-friendly - Easy to use and maintain - Convenient app control - Stylish design - Good runtime Cons: - Not ideal for large spaces ----- DETAILS ----- Design & Build Quality: Living in Phoenix with a toddler means I need a humidifier that's both effective and safe. The Blueair InvisibleMist checks both boxes. Its compact, round design with a smooth, matte white finish blends seamlessly into her bedroom. It's ideal for small to medium-sized rooms, and while it might not humidify an entire floor, it's perfect for her space. The build quality is solid. It feels sturdy and well-made. But what I appreciate most is the top-fill design. It not only makes refilling incredibly easy – I just pour water through the grated opening – but it also keeps the water tank safely out of my little one's reach. Plus, the quiet operation means no more bubbling and dripping noises disrupting naptime. As a busy parent, I also love that the tank is dishwasher-safe. After removing the top portion with the electrical components, I can just pop the tank in the dishwasher for hassle-free cleaning. This humidifier is a real win for both design and practicality. Features: What sets this humidifier apart is its InvisibleMist Technology. I used to have a real problem with white dust from my old humidifier, but with the InvisibleMist, I haven't noticed any residue at all, even after weeks of use. It uses a special filter to trap impurities, so only clean water vapor is released into the air. Another thing I love is how incredibly quiet it is. Even when it's running on high, I can barely hear it. And in night mode, it's practically silent – my daughter sleeps right through it. The night mode also dims the display lights, creating a peaceful sleep environment for her. The humidifier has a user-friendly touchscreen interface. It's bright, responsive, and easy to navigate. I can easily adjust the fan speed, enable Auto Mode or Night Mode (perfect for ensuring a peaceful sleep environment when my daughter goes to bed), or activate the Display Lock, which prevents little fingers from changing the settings. I call this the 'child lock,' and it's a lifesaver with a curious toddler who loves to push buttons. It gives me peace of mind knowing she can't accidentally change the settings or turn the humidifier off. Blueair App: The Blueair app makes this humidifier incredibly easy to use and monitor. I can reliably control it from anywhere, which is great for a busy parent like me. I often turn it on from my office before leaving for the day, so my daughter's room is comfortably humidified by the time we get home in the evening. The app also lets me schedule the humidifier to run at different times and intensities. I have it set to run at a lower speed during the day when we're out, and then ramp up in the evening for a more comfortable sleep. The app even monitors the filter life and sends me a notification when it's time for a replacement, which takes the guesswork out of maintenance. And speaking of monitoring, the app provides a clear and colorful graph of the humidity levels in the room, so I can see how the humidifier is performing over time. ----- WHAT’S IN THE BOX ----- 1 x Blueair InvisibleMist Humidifier 1 x Detachable Power Cord 1 x Replacement Water Pump Sponge 1 x User Manual 1 x Filter Subscription & Warranty Pamphlet
